Booking a test day used to be a little tricky. It was a case of trawling through various club and circuit websites trying to book a suitable test date. Now, catching up with the traditional track day, the ‘test day hunt’ is starting to change.

Test days now available through Trackdays

Trackdays.co.uk have now started to list ‘race licence holder only’ test days within their track day calendar and are hoping to provide more and more dates to book ‘in one place’ for the UK’s racing heroes.

car track day instruction – we all need it

For a track day driver part of the whole trackday experience is enjoying the process of picking out the lines, where to brake, how hard to feed in the power and understand the handling characteristics of our own pride and joy. The best way to do that is to get someone that really knows what they are doing to hop in the passenger seat next to you for some serious track day driving tuition. This doesn’t mean your mate or the biggest mouth in the paddock shouting about his prowess. I’m talking about ARDS qualified instructors. They are great. They will bring you on leaps and bounds guaranteed and will be the best money you will ever spend on going faster.

The need for speed and how to go above 70mph legally and safely.

As well as the dangers of speeding there are also cost implications as getting caught will in almost all cases land you with a minimum of a £60 fine and 3 points on your licence. Thankfully there is a solution to fulfil the needs of us speed addicts by going on a Track Day where you have the freedom to go at any speed as long as you abide by the guidelines set out in the briefing by the Circuit Marshalls.
